Maritza Gomez believes in putting your own personal stamp on things and being as original as you want to be. In 2014, in partnership with her mom, Maritza founded MG Custom Printing, a promotional products and printing company specializing in digital decoration of marketing products and personalized gifts. Not always bold and brave or a champion of being an original, Maritza with all her talents was in the shadows of success. She, after all, was raised as a “DREAMer” -- an undocumented immigrant brought to the U.S. as a child. Today, she attributes those obstacles for helping her become more resilient and undaunted in her mission of getting a college education and becoming a successful entrepreneur.
Today, Maritza is a proud graduate of Cal State University, San Bernardino, where she earned her Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree and is one of 47 women featured in the new book, “Next Bold Move,” by number-one bestselling author Tarra Flores Sloan.
A sought-after public speaker, Maritza regularly leads conversations on the topics of immigration and entrepreneurship, including at the University of California, LA’s Youth Empowerment Conference, and at several local elementary and middle schools on the importance of higher education.
More recently, Maritza spearheaded a scholarship program for undocumented students at CSU San Bernardino, and hopes to expand that program for low-income kids.
