Nominate An Exceptional Latina For Our NLBWA-IE Awards!
We encourage you to nominate your colleagues, associates, clients, who you believe are outstanding candidates for
our annual Latinas in Business Awards.

Categories Include:

1. Latina Owned Small Business of the Year
2. Latina Owned Micro Business of the Year

3. Latina Corporate Executive of the Year

Nomination Criteria:

1. Latina Owned Small Business Is 51% Latina owned (provide evidence of 51% Latina Ownership) been in business over 5 years and has over 10 employees. Established with a track record of business success, community responsibility, and evidence of sustainability long term.

  • Evidence of business success by years in business and/or financial viability: (provide revenue range)
    Up to $5000,000
    $501, 000 to $1 Million
    $1 Million to $3 Million
    $3 Million to $5 Million
    $5 Million to $10 Million
    $10 Million to $15 Million
    Greater than $15 Million
  • She exhibits business success and growth in the number of employees (provide number of employee growth)
  • Evidence of District Competitive Advantage in her industry going forward/long term
  • Does this Nominee have a product that is a help to the community, or is this Nominee personally active in the community and making a difference?
  • She is not an NLBWA-IE Board Director
  • She has not received an NLBWA-IE award in the past 5 years

2. Latina Owned Micro Business Is 51% Latina owned (provide evidence of 51% Latina Ownership) has less than 10 employee, is in business under 5 years and is making waves in the Inland Empire, with evidence of sustainable success and demonstrated community responsiveness.

  • Is this Nominee "making waves" in the Inland Empire...as evidenced by their visibility and/or ratings in the Market Place.
  • Evidence this Nominee has reached critical milestones that would support sustainability? (provide revenue range)
  • Does this Nominee have a product that is a help to the community, or is this Nominee personally active in the community and making a difference?
  • She exhibits business success and growth in the number of employees (provide number of employee growth)
  • She is not an NLBWA-IE Board Director
  • She has not received an NLBWA-IE award in the past 5 years

3. Latina Corporate Executive A professional woman executive who is “Entrepreneurial” inside her company. This being demonstrated by leadership in new programs and projects that enhance the outcome of their company and their community. Conducts business or works within the Inland Empire county area. Demonstrates creativity, leadership and provides mentorship, and/or serve as an advocate for Latina/o business owners or professionals.

  • Evidence that she took a leadership role in the company for an innovative product or process
  • Success of project selected in the Company
  • Does this Nominee have a product that is a help to the community, or is this Nominee personally active in the community and making a difference?
  • She is not an NLBWA-IE Board of Director
  • She has not received an NLBWA-IE award in the past 5 years
